It has been a really interesting weekend with Real Madrid reaching the top of the table after levelling up with Barcelona. Now Barcelona fans will cry hoarse about the unfair advantage being given to Real Madrid. Three VARS in a row! And rightly so, even if the ruling was accurate on all three occasions. And with the current pandemic hitting the globe, all matches are being played in empty stadiums which leads to an interesting point about the home-ground advantage being lost. There’s a good chance of Real Madrid reaching the finals, qualifying for the Champions League and probably even winning the La Liga league title with a fit team, and looking at Gareth Bale benched means that Zinedine Zidane has got a lot of attacking options with him helping him with the season’s challenges.
