A trip to Matheran (2022)

Matheran is an untouched tiny but the only hill station in Asia near Mumbai. It is automobile-free as it is an eco-sensitive region, So how do you go about this place? To be harmonious with nature, there are only 2 ways to move around, Horse riding and the other are your two beautiful legs. 


You can reach Matheran by using the train to the Karjat station and hiring a shared taxi to the entry point of Matheran, or you could use the Toy train for the scenic route. Fun Fact - You can store your helmet at the entry with minimal cost. Once inside, there are about 36 breathtaking points that you can complete at your leisure. 


Alexander Point, Louisa Point, Echo Point, Sunset Point, Panorama Point, and Little Chowk Point are some of the most memorable points that are a visual treat for your eyes.

Make sure you carry food packets with you if you are a foodie, and don't litter the place.


Food is heavy on the pocket if you are on a tight budget. Make sure you understand geography, or you will be taken for a horse ride if you know what it means. Accommodation is effortlessly available for all budgets. Remember to taste the Maganlal chikki & take some for your loved ones.
